Dear Mr. MacNeil,
The Pacific Institute submitted a complete proposal
to clean up the tar ponds at a cost that was only
a fraction of the amount that they have already
spent just to endlessly study the problem. This
proposal was ignored. We are almost
certain that the authorities have no real interest
in ever cleaning up the problem but will endlessly
spend taxpayer's money on study after theoretical
study. As far as your contaminated site is
concerned, it could easily be cleaned up at
reasonable cost in less than one month.
Sincerely,
Dr. Paul D. Tinari
